2013 has been an exciting year professionally and personally. Sometimes, it all crosses over and the lines get blurred. Ive had some incredible clients and many of them have become friends. Ayesha and Umber are the prime example. I remember months ago when she was super anxious to get the photos from me so that “our business relationship would end and our friendship could begin.” Good thing they loved photos. Would have been super awkwardAnais Events have the same birthday, its as if the stars aligned to make some magic. They put together some incredible details to transform the Julia Morgan Ballroom for the ceremony and again for the reception. Oh, and the photographer has the same birthday as them as well. MAGIC!! Ive also started working closer with the guys from Verus Productions. Met them at a wedding in 2011, and they have been my preferred choice of cinematographers. They’re great to work with and fantastically creative. We’ve done several weddings together in 2013 and are gearing up to do many more together in 2014. You’ve got to check out their highlight reel for Ayesha and Umber at the end of the images below. Its original and amazing. This wedding was also our first feature in Maharani Weddings; one of the largest sites dedicated to South Asian weddings. And finally, a big thanks to my friend and colleague Cathy Breslow for helping me cover this wedding. Some of the images below are taken by her. This was a LONG day and sometimes, days can get stressful. Cathy reminded me to always relax, be patient, and have fun.Julia Morgan Ballroom Wedding Planning and Design: Anais Events Makeup: Sadiya Omer Cinematography: Verus Productions Outfits: Fahad Hussayn Couture Ayesha & Umber Highlights from Halim Qayum on Vimeo.
